“You’re what?!” Aang stood, eyes blazing with anger.
Katara flinched. “Aang, please calm down-”
“NO!” Aang started pacing. “I thought you were coming back to... to tell me you wanted to get back together with me!”
“Aang.” Katara sighed. “Oh, Aang. I was hoping that was not how you felt. I love Zuko. Nothing and no one can take me from him.”
Aang covered his ears. “No! Stop talking! Stop saying it!”
“Aang!” Katara grabbed his shoulders, feeling anger begin to rise in her. He was still such a child! He would always be s

Zuko opened the note from his fiance, the messenger hawk eating on its perch. Hello, my love. I am here safely. Aang was happy to see me. A little too happy, I think. Zuko curled his lip back; if Aang thought he was getting back together with Katara, he had another thing coming! I miss you already. The Southern Air Temple is big and empty. I think you would have liked it here. Doubtful. Zuko always felt bad whenever he was at anything regarding the died out airbenders. Anyway, I’ll write to you once I’ve told him. I’m hoping he takes it well, but given the look on his face whenever he sees me, I fear it will go

“And look at that beautiful bride! She’s wearing the traditional blue robes of the Southern Water Tribe as expected, but she has the red fire lilies traditional for the Fire Nation. Wow, she sure is gorgeous!” There was a woman with a thick stick looking thing in her hand, her face plastered across the big screen. Katara felt like she was looking out over the crowds and the people, and she saw herself, climbing out of the carriage. The crowds erupted in cheering.
“Both Lady Katara and Fire Lord Zuko did a splendid job at mingling the two cultures into one. It’s just beautiful.” A man’s face w

Zuko strode out of the war room strongly, but nearly collapsed once he was safely in his room. He hated those meetings. It was just a bunch of generals talking at him about how to rebuild the world properly. As if they knew how to keep peace. They had let the world burn under his father and grandfather for over a century. Who in Agni’s name did they think they were? The only one who really knew what they were doing was Aang, the Avatar. Everyone else could just shut up.
He sat on his bed with a huff, curling up a bit so he could lay comfortably. He slid his hand under the pillow, the comfort thing he had done since he was a chi

Katara flipped through the papers, searching for the catering order form. Her hand landed on the desk. She groaned and put her head in her hands and she felt tears prick at her eyes. What was she thinking? What in Agni’s name made her think this was a good idea? And since when did she start using “Agni”?!
“Katara?”
Katara jumped. She couldn’t let anyone see her like this, especially not Zuko.
“Katara, are you in there?” Zuko pounded on the Fire Nation door again.
“Just a minute!” Katara wiped her eyes and pushed the papers to the other side of the desk. She pulled
Fat is a mindset,
A thought,
A dirty word,
A belief.
See,
We as girls don’t need others to call us fat
Because we hear it in our minds,
See it in our eyes,
And believe it in our hearts.
It becomes dangerous when,
Without a conscience purpose,
We think,
“It’s time I get serious about dieting,”
And worse, when we have to consciously remind ourselves,
“I’m not dieting.”
What does it mean when someone says,
“Wouldn’t you rather love your body than be skinny?”
And you honestly answer,
“No. I’d rather be skinny”?
Where does it end?
When we’re all skeletons,

The group stayed a few extra days at Ursa’s house, letting Zuko and his mother get reacquainted. The ease with which life was led there appealed to Zuko, the relaxed mornings, the meanderings of the days. In the morning, Ursa and Katara made breakfast while Zuko played with the kids. After breakfast, Zuko did the dishes and watched whoever stayed behind while Ursa and Katara went grocery shopping. The kids played, the adults talked, and time passed contently in the sun.
But Zuko had responsibilities to return to, and a daughter he loved and a wife he missed. He could see on Katara’s face, too, how much she missed her husband

“I’m sorry, Dad…” Roku ducked his head under Zuko’s angered gaze. “We just wanted to go on a journey like you guys.”
Denny trained his eyes on the ground. “Yeah. You guys already got an adventure; we wanted one, too.”
“The war was not an adventure,” Katara snapped. “And we were 14 and 16 when we had our little journey, not 10!”
Denny coughed. “Actually, Kya’s the only one that’s 10. Roku and I are 11, and Uncle Aang was 12 when he went on his journey! That’s only one year!”
“Aang was the avatar!” snarled Katara.

They left the next day. Zuko had a blimp ship ready and waiting and the duo wasted no time. The Fire Lord couldn't waste much time on this goose chase, and Katara had the duties of the Water Tribe to attend to.
Kya watched her mother go higher and higher in the air, waving blandly. "I can't believe we have to stay behind," grumbled Denny beside her.
"I know! Mama's gotten her adventures and now she gets to leave us out of it!" added Kya.
Aang smiled, patting Kya's head. "Your time will come, little one. Just give it time. Don't wish away your childhood; I would know." And he was gone.

"Thank you, Father. You look dashing yourself," Kya replied.
Aang grinned and tossed a snowball at her. Kya waterbended it away. "Nice try, Father! But I'll always be the better waterbender!" she giggled. Aang laughed along side her.
"Would you two stop acting like children?" Katara growled, putting Kya's hair up with a flower. She had been on edge all morning, for one reason or another.
"They're here!" Sokka called happily. The water tribe family brushed off their suits and exited the igloo.

Everyone says, "Fall in love with your best friend!!"
But what do you do when your best friend gets a girlfriend and he can't be your best friend anymore?
I guess I need a new best friend :(
Have you ever felt like your fears were getting in the way of your life?
I keep seeing all these things I could be doing, but I'm too afraid of doing. So here's the deal; I've been riding horses off and on for years, and for some reason, this time around, I am petrified. They scare me! But I love it, so I keep fighting through the fears.
But there's this other person there and I am so jealous of her, because she has no fear, and she keeps riding like she's on top of the world when she's on that horse, and our instructor says she makes a great team with the horse she's on and me? I'm terrified of the horse I'm on.
At some point, I final
So I haven't posted a journal entry in awhile, but I thought I'd update you a bit on the goings-ons in my life.
I am going through an extreme Zutara faze. Avatar faze in general, but mostly Zutara. And Harry Potter/HarryxHermione. None of my ships ever work out -.-"
Be aware, I'm not a crazy shipper. I like what I like and enjoy friendly debates, but I don't get butthurt over my ships not happening (especially with Harry/Hermione, because honestly, I knew it was never going to happen. I just prefer it.)
So I'm going through severe Avatar withdrawals and am trying to make it magically okay by looking up Avatar/Zutara stuff on the inter
